To us a partnership as the ‘coming together of two or more entities to further the causes of social harmony and bridge-building.’ Below you will find a list of possible partnership opportunities including education, good causes, workshops and conferences, equal exchanges, and more. Naturally, our list represents the limits of our creativity and we are open to exploring all other possibilities that are brought to our attention.
Do You Share Our Vision?
Our vision statement is: We envision a world where people have good access to strategies, methods and ideas that promote social harmony and enable bridge-building across divides. If you share our vision and want to live in a world where more people are well equipped to bridge gaps and promote harmony, then we want to find a way to work with you.
Partnering for Co-Human Causes
If you are gathering people and organizations to work for co-human causes, we are all ears. We love being a part of the synergy that happens when many forces come together for an altruistic reason like the rays of the sun through the lens of a magnifying glass to ignite a blaze of awareness. We can use our social media platforms, blog, and personal connections to help spread the message.
Partnering for Education
Our offerings contain some of the best ideas and strategies for bridge-building and social harmony available today. We are happy to partner with anyone who wants to offer them to their group. Below are a couple of examples.
In the summer of 2018, we partnered with the Charter for Compassion and offered our flagship program to a few hundred of their followers from all over the world. The workshop was a success and provided the Charter with additional funds. We donated our share of the income to further their cause and look forward to a continued relationship with them in the future.
We are currently partnering the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Michigan and in talks with several others about providing educational material, both by offering our programs directly and for curriculum purposes, where our partners use our material for their own classes or initiatives.
While we appreciate recognition, we don’t need to be front and center in everything we do.
Partnering for Seminars, Workshops and Conferences
If your organization focuses on another piece of the social harmony puzzle, or you have material that rhymes perfectly with what we are doing, we are open to partnering. Whether the goal is to put together a workshop, teach a seminar, or create a conference, we are willing to talk. Even if our initiative is relatively young, we bring decades of teaching and training experience to the table.
Reciprocation is one of the oldest forms of human collaboration. For example, we could give you permission to teach some of our material and you’d give us permission to use yours; we’d write for your blog, you’d write for our blog (you can write for our blog either way); we’d mention you in our newsletter and you’d mention us in yours, and so on. Of course, this quid pro quo has limits, but if both of us are truly on the same page and share a similar vision, this kind of partnership should be valuable to both parties.
While a partnership usually implies that both sides put something on the table, we have been known to offer one-sided help. We have taken part in dialogue facilitation with other organizations without getting anything in return and already sit on the advisory board as volunteers. If you think that we can help in that way, you are welcome to contact us.
Creative Partnership Ideas
The partnerships described above are pretty standard and we would happily enter into any one of them. At the same time, we are enthusiastically waiting for creative partnership ideas that break the mold. If you are sitting on such a proposal, we want to hear from you.
Start a Conversation Today
You never know where a conversation may lead. I spoke to a woman recently who originally wanted me to write for her blog. After we talked for half an hour or so, she realized that there were several other things we could do together. We set up a meeting with a third party to explore opportunities. My experience tells me that it is better to have a conversation and see where it leads than to sit on the sidelines and wonder whether or not to contact someone.
I invite you to start a conversation with us today by sending me an email.
I look forward to hearing from you.
